Gate CI on a Quox turn

Upcoming Not proven yet. Do not rely on it. CLI 0.3.1, checked 2026-10-12.

What: a CI step that asks Quox to check something and fails, pauses or passes on the answer.

When: you want an agent’s check, with its approvals and receipts, inside a pipeline.

How:

Terminal window
set +e
quox --print --output json --timeout 300 "check the release notes against the changelog" > quox.jsonl
code=$?
set -e
tail -n 1 quox.jsonl | jq '{status, receipts}'
case $code in
0) echo "passed" ;;
2) echo "held for approval: approve it, then re-run"; exit 1 ;;
4) echo "not signed in"; exit 1 ;;
*) echo "quox exited $code"; exit 1 ;;
esac

See Headless for every exit code. This guide has not been run in a real pipeline yet.
