1. What Quox Console is
Quox Console is a native iOS client for QuoxCORE, the self-hosted AI agent governance and evidence platform from Quox. It lets you sign in to a QuoxCORE instance and view agent conversations, approve or reject actions, and check fleet status from your iPhone or iPad.
The app does not include a server. You either connect it to a QuoxCORE instance you or your organisation runs, or you connect it to one of the public demo instances described in Section 4.
2. Requirements
- An iPhone or iPad running a currently supported version of iOS. Check the App Store listing for the exact minimum version required by the version you are installing.
- Either a QuoxCORE instance you can reach from your device (your own server, or one reachable over VPN/Tailscale/similar), or a connection to the public demo instance to try the app without your own server.
- An account (email and password) on that instance. The app does not create accounts; ask your QuoxCORE administrator, or use the demo credentials on the demo instance.
3. Adding a connection
- Open Quox Console and choose "Add connection."
- Enter a label for the connection (any name you like, for your own reference) and the URL of your QuoxCORE instance.
- Enter the email and password for your account on that instance.
- The app authenticates against the server you specified and stores the resulting session token in the iOS Keychain, on-device only. See the Privacy Policy for exactly how this is stored.
- You can add more than one connection and switch between them, for example a home lab instance and a work instance.
4. Try it with the public demo
If you do not have a QuoxCORE instance yet, you can connect to the public demo estate at demo.quox.ai or qluster.quox.ai to see the app working against a live server. These instances are operated by Quox for demonstration purposes and are shared with other visitors, so do not use them for real, sensitive, or production data.
5. Biometric unlock
You can optionally turn on Face ID or Touch ID to unlock the app, in Settings within the app. It is off by default. Turning it on does not change how your credentials or session tokens are stored, it only adds a local unlock step before the app's contents are shown.
6. Common problems
"Instance unreachable"
The app could not reach the server URL you configured. Check that the URL is correct, that the server is running, and that your device has network access to it (this often means being on the same network or VPN as the server, if it is not exposed to the public internet).
"Certificate not trusted"
The server presented a TLS certificate that iOS does not trust, for example a self-signed certificate or one issued by an internal certificate authority. Either install a valid certificate on your QuoxCORE instance (recommended), or, if your organisation uses an internal CA, install that CA's root certificate as a trusted profile on your device first.
"Session expired"
Your authentication token is no longer valid, usually because it timed out or your account's session was revoked on the server. Sign in again from the connection screen; you do not need to re-add the connection, just re-enter your password.
7. Getting help
For app-specific issues (crashes, connection problems, feature requests), email [email protected]. For questions about your QuoxCORE server itself, its configuration, or its data, contact whoever administers that instance, since Quox LTD does not have access to self-hosted servers.
