QuoxTemporal implant

When it happened matters.

Before / after

What changes when Temporal is active

Before

All information treated as equally current. No sense of when things happened.

After

Recency awareness. Recent events carry more weight. Stale data is flagged.

Before

Repeated patterns over time go undetected.

After

Rhythm detection. Weekly spikes, monthly cycles, and seasonal patterns are recognised automatically.

Before

Unusually long operations pass without comment.

After

Duration anomaly detection. If a build takes three times longer than usual, Quox knows.

Before

Deadlines and time-sensitive tasks treated the same as everything else.

After

Timing significance. Approaching deadlines, SLA windows, and maintenance schedules factor into decisions.

What it does

A sense of when, not just what

The temporal lobe is what lets us understand that events have an order, that some things are recent and some distant, that patterns recur on rhythms, and that duration carries meaning. QuoxTemporal gives Quox this same sense of time. It tracks per-agent execution timing from real task data, computing P50, P95 and max durations over a rolling seven-day window.

A 24-hour activity histogram shows when your fleet is busiest, revealing peak operational hours and quiet periods that other implants can use for scheduling decisions.

Duration anomaly detection flags any task that exceeds twice its agent's historical average, catching stalls and performance regressions before they cascade. The executor uses adaptive timeouts derived from Temporal's data, so agents are given enough time to finish without waiting indefinitely when something has gone wrong.

This implant ships free with QuoxCORE because temporal awareness is too fundamental to gate. Every observation, every memory, every prediction benefits from knowing when something happened and how that timing compares to what is normal.

Shipped

Shipped: P50, P95 and max durations are computed from real task execution rows, and the executor reads them back to set adaptive timeouts. Duration anomaly tracking is real (task_duration_anomaly in the wisdom pattern catalogue), though today it flags tasks past a flat threshold rather than the per-agent "twice the historical average" comparison described above.

Temporal timestamps and sequences what the rest of QuoxMind perceives. These five faculties draw on the timing it keeps.

QuoxTemporal ships free with every QuoxCORE installation. Temporal awareness is foundational, not optional.
